Visual mapping project
Support for children with hearing loss in Aotearoa New Zealand
Who? A Ministry of Education funded project in collaboration with NZ Federation for Deaf children (NZFDC).
What? A picture that maps visually the supports and services for children who have hearing loss in Aotearoa New Zealand. There are two parts: the Landscape map; and the Education Pathways.
Why? When parents and caregivers find out that their child may have a hearing loss there are a lot of mixed emotions, and there is a lot of new information to take on board.
The purpose of the map is to show clearly the options that are available to a child now, and in the future.
When? August 2015 to May 2017
